IDeaS Inc. achieves successful pilot, for state-of-the-art pricing solution

Proposed Solution to meet Business Challenges

OMNISPAN was engaged as the Technical Project Manager by IDeaS. We first designed an overall business and IT architecture of the Pricing System and got approval from IDeaS and its client. We then scheduled a Crawl-Walk-Run approach to the system implementation. This consisted of a proof of concept, followed by limited deployment in some Pilot locations. The Trial is ongoing and may eventually lead to a full production system and full roll-out.

Implementation Steps Followed

We delivered the following :

  1. Participating in a kick off with executives from IDeaS, its client, and a third consulting company.
  2. Negotiation with IDeaS’ client and the consulting company on final system outputs. This was a new system and specification of outputs were not clearly defined. OMNISPAN was able to assist in finalizing clear specifications that all parties could agree upon.
  3. Developing and monitoring a detailed project schedule for Pilot execution with roles and responsibilities of all 3 parties.
  4. Coordinating the development of IDeaS software (developed as a hosted service) and integrating it with third party products, with remote testing and certification.
  5. Completing the work for the Pilot on time, and demonstrating the product to IDeaS’ client.

IDeaS’ client was satisfied with the quality of the work done for the Pilot, and the project moved to the next stage for limited deployment at some locations.
